I have suspended my relationship with Google Ads. Look over at the top left of the page, where Google Ads used to be, for an explanation.
I will not do business with any advertiser who refuses to allow me to view the websites I so graciously allow to be linked on my own blog.

I'm sorry Dave, I've been clicking on them to help you pay for stuff. I will say that I won't miss them though...
Good luck

Well, since 9 out of 10 of them were always for left wing groups, it's not much of a loss to me or to the rest of humanity.
Now, people who want to help support this site can still do so: I have other, non-Google ads; I have an Amazon partnership, where you can buy anything from Amazon.com; and there is always the good old-fashioned tip-jar for outright cash contributions!

But it was really so much more fun when I believed I was making leftie sites help pay for your blog. I'd come by sometimes three times a day just to get you a few more bucks.
Let me know when you get them back, though. Until then, I'll miss helping them give you money.

I'd be interested to know how much you were making off of them.

not very much.

Hate to be a wet blanket, Gully, but if you read the Google Adsense agreement carefully, they spell out that you can't click on their ads via your own blog -- and they also spell out an alternative way to view the advertisements without paying yourself money for each click. While their procedure is annoying, it's there to address legitimate concerns about their revenue model.
