he was concerned because inner city black kids don't see a future in the game. He's not accusing the Astros of racism.

Did you read the article?

Hmmm...I'll take the result tonight, white boy! Everything about it was satisfying. The White Sox had the only Black GM in baseball - plus the most multicultural team in the game (perhaps ever). The Series MVP was a Black...only run scored tonight by a Black person as well!

Houston had a team that looked like...well, Houston. Segregated and ultimately weaker as a result.

Yes Houston, we DO have a problem. These not-so White Sox have wiped out a stain of the "Black Sox" that was almost nine decades old.

As for Washington, the problem is not the team, it's the city. Maybe if we didn't treat their citizens as second class, it wouldn't be the most racially polarized in America...

Well, maybe if they didnt act like third world warlords, they would be treated better.

Of course, I used that line despite the fact that I dont accept your premise, Andrew. DC's denizens are coddled. Hell, even the mayor was a crackhead and got reelected.

The reason DC is such a toilet is, in a word: government. Too much bureacracy.

Nor am I accusing the Wizards of recism. I am making an observation that there is a cultural divide in sports. More talented young black athletes are drawn to basketball than to baseball. And more talented young white athletes are drawn to sports other than basketball.

As for the cities: I don't think there is any correlation between the cities and their racial makeup. Major League teams of all sports draw in players not just from all over the country, but all over the world.

Making blanket statements about the cities is sign of deep rooted racism.
