MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!
Greetings, readers! We have returned from our Christmas trip. Now that we have had a chance to tell our close friends and relatives, the time has come to let the cat out of the bag and tell the rest of y'all:
Gullyborg wishes to announce that this coming Thursday, December 29, 2005...
He and the Gullybabe are getting MARRIED!
Yes, that seems like a very sudden, very short engagement, coming in just a few days. But actually, we have been dating for over five years now. We had been talking about marriage and the future for some time. In fact, even though we hadn't made any official plans, I had been referring to the Gullybabe as my fiancee when meeting new people in social gatherings, simply for lack of a better term. At our age, it sounds silly to call each other "boyfriend and girlfriend" and "domestic partner" just sounds a little too... well, you know.
Anyway, once we got to the point where we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, we decided there was no point in drawing it out with a long, formal engagement. So we found a nice facility nearby that performs marriage ceremonies and scheduled an appointment. We'd invite you to attend, but seriously, it's going to be a 2-minute ceremony just to make us legal. Neither one of us is into the whole "big fancy wedding" scene.
As you can imagine, blogging will continue to be light for the next several days. But we just wanted to share our happiness with all you readers. So if you don't hear from us again for a while, we hope you had a merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!

Mazeltov!

Congratulations, my friend. Please tell HDIL I welcome her to the family and send her a virtual hug. You two are *perfect* for each other .... BTW, I got the first three HP books for Christmas and have already started them. Well written, I must say!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I hate that term "domestic partners" and "significant other" because to me it cheapens the relationship by making it sound like a business.

Congrats to you both!
I prefer the term 'live in lover'. It always made my parents eyes roll.
I guess this proves that Resistance is Futile!

Congradulations! I'm glad that you have finally "made it legal"! Will the pitter-patter of little feet be heard in the gully-castle any time soon?

My best wishes to you and your growing family! Will there be range exercises at the reception?
