Breaking news from Michael Bane. Bottom line: if you have ever installed a single custom part, possibly even as innocuous as custom grips or a fiberglass stock, on any firearm, you may now be a felon and owe back taxes to the government.
Hey, government, WHAT PART OF EX POST FACTO DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?
Better yet, what part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED?
People have been after Bush to make some changes. How about firing the head of the BATF, effective immediately? Maybe Zell Miller would like the job.
And before you say it, yes, I know that the BATF is now the ATFE. Just like INS is now ICE. But people still know what BATF (and INS) are. Not everyone knows all the new "homeland security approved" acronyms yet.
Rather than focus on whether it should be BATF or ATFE, think about what you will do when the SHTF, 'mkay?

How about the BATF is abolished? I don't see anything in the Constitution that gives FedGov authority over alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or explosives. Talk about mission creep!
Just say no to the domestic terrorists at the BATF.
