Carnival of Cordite #70

I apologize for this, but it turns out I totally spaced about my schedule and now I literally have only a few minutes to create the Carnival of Cordite this week.  Rather than put it off any longer, I present for you a classic link-fest.  Here goes:

Mr. Compleley starts us off (and I must apologize yet again, as these posts were supposed to be included two weeks ago but got lost in spam filter hell - if you send in a post and never see it published, just let me know so I can check the spam box) with good news about a hero, some weekend match results, and news about the gun blogger rendez-vous (sadly, I cannot attend).

Liberty News has the .45 of the week.

Front Sight Press has advice on what not to wear in a hostile zone.

Rivrdog estimates 56 million killed by gun control.

Firehand writes about the Ranger 34A rifle (and apparently, thinks he is yours truly with the camera...)

Michael Bane has the 411 on some hot new Ruger products and the sad tale of grips gone bad.

Uncle has video of a 650 spm 10/22 and a new magazine loader so simple, even a child can do it.

And over at The Gun Blogs, read about the not-so-smart gun and holsters, belts, and magazine pouches.

Toys in the Attic demonstrates the value of the cruffle.

Ah Shoot has heartache and pain, but at least his barrels will be clean.

Blog Idaho's future heartbreaker won!  More here.

The Acme Anvil Co. checks out a Kel-Tec.

Anthroblogogy has some extra primers.

Lest Darkness Fall has really, really big hands.

Trigger Finger has follow up on the Parker case.

Oh, make sure you check the comments from the delay notice for some good reading material and a great video!

Spank That Donkey has his interview with the President of the Virginia Citizens Defense League.

More.

More.

When choosing ammo, keep it simple.

The Bull Speaks puts gun control in perspective.

The Ten Ring welcomes a new member to the family.

Ditto at Because I Say So.

TFS Magnum says more women are hunting.

And...

View From the Porch likes .22's for training.

-- and now, quite literally, I have to go!

Tip for the next Carnival:
See the doings at Traction Control.

The August Postal Match has been extended for the long weekend and yours truly will be the guest-host blog for September's match! Thanks to our benefactor, Mr. Completely.
