Follow up

Ok, ok... I can't just give up on the blog.  I have too much invested in it - not money, but work, sweat, tears...

But lately it has been so neglected, it needs to be reborn into something cleaner, up to date, and functional.

So... talk to me, peeps.  What do I need to do with it?  And whatever I do, it has to be done in a manner that doesn't take a lot of time.  I spend too much time online, basically doing NOTHING, and not enough time living life.  So I'm not putting a lot of time and effort into this.

But the blog will live on, and every so often I will write something that I hope is worth reading.

I'm thinking of looking for a free host, but don't know how to move my archives, etc. When you decide and find something free, let me know, K? Seriously, I'm fixin' to get into a program that will expand lots of things for me, so I think I'll want/need to be posting a lot more.

Well, I won't be going to a new host. I've scaled down from the "pro" account and the few dollars a month I'll pay to maintain the blog won't be a factor. What I'm really talking about now is how to update my content. I know most of blog rolls are hopelessly out of date and will go. And I'll probably go to a cleaner, sleeker, more functional format. Just not sure what - so am looking for ideas. And I don't know what my content will be. I'm keeping all my archives, but future posts may be different from all the past. Again, looking for ideas to keep the blog relevant - and also to keep it low maintenance. I'm ok investing some time to rebuild it - but once that is done, I want it to be something that only requires occasional quick updates, not really time consuming stuff like my old Carnival of Cordite or anything.

I check in on your blog from time to time and usually enjoy catching up. I hope you keep going, but it's your life, and blogging can certainly be a drain. In my case the pleasures far outweigh the burden.

Something to keep in mind, for what it's worth. When you clean up the site, if you delink all those people who you now link to, they'll probably delink you, too.

One more thing. I doubt if many people would miss those bare feet if you decided to get rid of that photo.
