Oregon Secretary of State, 2012.
No other race in Oregon will really matter that year. Sure, the legislative races are always important, but they are the same every two years. Meanwhile, there will be no governor race, no US senate seat, and no chance that Oregon will affect the Presidential election.
SoS is it, and we need to focus all efforts on that race, starting TODAY.
Consider this an open plea to Jason Atkinson: I know you have had a lot on your plate lately, but I am praying you will be able to take down Brown. anyone else.
Yes, I have just updated this post to strip Jason's name. This is a hard and painful thing to do, but I do not feel he can continue to be supported as a conservative. His ongoing support of new government regulation on plastic bags, combined with his attack on sanity after Arizona, convince me he is not up to the task.
But what is really saddening isn't just his leftish approach to these matters. What is saddening is that he has completely given up communications with this blogger, once his most ardent supporter. And it isn't just me. Bloggers put Jason on the political map in 2006. Now, we aren't worth his time.

Any mention of George Soros and the Secretary of State Project?

SoS is critical for that very reason. It is the only "real" seat to worry about in Oregon in 2012 and we MUST take it back!

While I would love to see Jason in that position, I would equally love to see YOU in that position. Run, Gully, run!
Or if you won't do the SofS, how about Marion County GOP chair?

The important races will be in 2012 & they are already starting up.

Well written, the most important races will be in the senate cause the Republicans really have no one to put up against the democrats.

Quite disappointing, if I might say so.
I'll be happy to support someone else. I personally think that it would be good to get a mayor to run. Someone with a good head on his shoulders and a mind that would be fair.
I keep thinking Lou Ogden, mayor of Tualatin, would be a good guy.
