Back in the day, Lauren Bacall was one of the most glamorous, sexy, and sophisticated of Hollywood's starlets.  And today, mostly retired at age 80, she continues to remind us why we loved her then, and still love her today.  This article from the BBC features Bacall ripping a new one for the entire starlet mentality.  She slams the anorexic-chic look, the cookie-cutter hairstyles, the lack of talent, the emphasis on careers over marriage, television in general, and even Hugh Grant.

And I like is that Bacall has an honest smile on her face as she watches her husband checking out Marilyn Monroe. Why is she smiling, when other women would be elbowing the hubby hard? Because she is confident enough in both her husband's love and her own sexuality to know that she has no reason to worry.

THAT is confidence!!!

And I love confident women.
