I was alarmed to see this headline:
Walter Reed Medical Center to be Closed.
Besides being passive voice, this headline implies that the eeeeeeevil Bush Administration, in a time when so many injured soldiers need medical care, is cruelly and heartlessly shutting down one of the main military hospitals.
Fotunately, unlike many of the sheeple out there who merely graze headlines, I actually read the thing:
Most of Walter Reed's work would be relocated to a more modern, expanded hospital in Bethesda, Md., that will be renamed Walter Reed in a nod to the old facility's heritage.
So what the headline should have said:
Walter Reed and Bethesda Merge to Form Super Hospital!
That might have been better.
how is it misleading? Is Walter Reed Medical Center closing or not? I think you know the answer.
Where is Bush even MENTIONED?
