The hijacking of democracy

As I sit here typing, the minority democRats of the U.S. Senate have invoked "rule 21" to close the doors of the Senate on the American people in order to secretly discuss the War in Iraq and whether or not "Bush lied."

Boy, talk about a bad political stunt that is going to backfire!

First off, the left are the ones always complaining about eeeeevil Rethugnikkkans making shadowy deals behind closed doors without any accountability to the public.  So what do they do?  They lock down the Senate and start discussing things in secret.

Worse (for them), they are trying to make the most out of our supposedly going to war under false pretenses.  But they seem to have forgotten that, long before Bush was elected (key word: elected), they themselves leaped aboard the "Saddam's WMD are an imminent threat" bandwagon.

Let's review:

Look at all those democRats saying all those things about Saddam Hussein, Iraq, and WMDs... many of them saying them before 9/11 and even before George W. Bush took office.

And yet, the leftist mantra remains: "Bush Lied."

Now, do they really think that they are going to gain support for their new anti-war agenda by ignoring their own history and holding a secret closed door meeting to discuss whether or not they were bamboozled by Bush?

The more they draw attention to themselves in this manner, the more it looks like a Republican landslide in the 2006 Senate elections.
