Even the politically conservative, capitalist-industrialist supporting, foreigner-bashing NewsMax is starting to recognize the value of organic milk.
I've been drinking organic milk for a few years now. But I'll be honest. I never cared about the health benefits. The Gullybabe got me drinking it because she found it lasted longer. You see, she uses only a little bit of milk, and thus even a small carton would often spoil before she finished it. But she discovered that organic milk would always stay fresher longer, allowing her to finish the carton before it turned. We figured out that the higher price of organic milk was more than countered by the reduced waste. It made economic sense to spend more on organic milk.
So then we both started to drink organic milk. Then, whenever we had non-organic milk, we noticed a difference in taste. Turns out, there is a clear and definite difference between the flavor of organic milk and mass-production hormone-filled milk. Organic milk tastes richer and creamier, even with reduced fat. A glass of 2% organic milk tastes more like "milk" than non-organic whole milk. If you choose your food based on taste, organic is the way to go when you have a hankering for some moo juice.
So, without even caring about the health factor, I became sold on organic milk. I like Safeway "O" brand organic:
Now, you can read articles like the NewsMax piece and think it's all a load of hooey. And maybe it is. Maybe the FDA and Monsanto are right, and there is no health benefit at all to organic milk. But go buy a carton of organic milk, taste it, and see how long it stays fresh. You'll be sold just like we are. With the price of organic milk coming down, and organic milk available at places like Wal-Mart and Safeway, there is no reason whatsoever to buy non-organic milk.
Moo.
If you like organic milk, then you'll love organic ice cream. I was an organic skeptic, but one taste of Straus ice cream made me a believer. It's also better if you don't read the nutritional information such as the calorie or fat content.

Organic, pasteurized milk is fine, but you should warn readers not to confuse it with organic, RAW milk, which has a lot of sanitation issues.
If you think you can survive the "B" version of an E-coli infection, fine, drink it. If you think it might just kill you as it has others, stay with pasteurized.
Organic milk is not new. It is a retro thing.
Raw milk isn't new either, but it's a potential killer.

Yeah, we drink organic pasteurized too. There's a brand at MoC that's cheaper than Organic Valley, and tasty. WalMart has organics now, but they're limited, and not really any cheaper.

We drink White Wave soy milk - creamy and health.
If you only knew all the animal puss that is in that milk you drink - organic or not!
LOL

Animal puss is tasty barbeque! Soyyy? Bean-juice isn't milk. :-) I buy the semi-fat, because fat is good! Anyhow that's what goes in my coffee.

considering that all mammary glands, on all mammals, are just mutated sweat glands, a little pus is no biggie. just kick back and enjoy that overly thick cow boob sweat, mmmmmmmmm!!!!
seriously, I eat dead cow, you think I care if there is some extra cow goo in the milk?
next you'll be complaining about the mold in the cheese, or the athlete's foot fungus in the wine, or... YOU DON'T EVEN WANT TO KNOW WHERE BEER CAME FROM!!!
if it is edible, you really shouldn't think too hard about where it came from, or you'll just stop eating entirely and end up like Karen Carpenter.
by the way, soy plants grow by sucking up cow poop out of the soil.

organic milk is generally still pasteurized- which has basically killed the milk. you can't absorb calcium from it and the protein is sub quality. RAW MILK on the other hand, is one of the healthiest things you can eat. and as far as the e coli concerns? do the research, the only documented cases in the last 4 decades are from pasteurized milk. don't believe the dairy industry hype. raw milk has natural enzymes that protect it from bad bacteria- unlike pasteurized milk.
