My old boss, Oregon State Representative Donna Nelson, suffered a heart attack and had emergency surgery over the weekend. She's one of the "good ones" in the Legislature. Be sure to think of her in your prayers.
Donna has had quite a career: overcoming family tragedies, earning her MBA while raising kids alone, becoming a Senior Vice President of Evergreen International Aviation, traveling to over 180 different countries on business, and serving on numerous boards and non-profit organizations before "retiring" and joining the Legislative Assembly. As a State Representative, Donna has chaired the House Committee on Veterans Affairs and provided key leadership in providing important benefits to our troops in harm's way. Plus, her Southern charm brings a rare element of class and sophistication to the otherwise stodgy old House. I had the pleasure of serving Donna as a legislative intern, and would enjoy working for her again some day.
Donna is optimistic about being well again when the Legislature meets, but she needs your help to return there this election; so if you live in District 24, give her your support on your ballot!
Go Donna!
How she doing?

Have you seen the Tibbet's poll?
Says Saxton will lose.

I'm sorry, this post is about a friend who had a heart attack. I don't see the relevance of your comment. In fact, I find it so insulting, I may have to just ban you.

Don't ban her. Leave her comments there, for all to see the complete moral bankruptcy of the Left that cares more about making a snide comment than about a woman's health.
Meanwhile, I'll be praying for Donna's recovery, just as I did for Clinton (whose politics I loathe) after his heart disease problems.

Any news on Donna lately?

I talked to her today. She is doing very well and is fighting strong going into the last stretch of the campaign!
