What is it going to take to wake you up, people?

ACORN is now busted on a FOURTH VIDEO.  In this one, the happy ACORN community organizer is giving the "pimp and hooker" tips on not just cashing pimp money in for a successful political campaign, but also seducing male bank executives, getting the most out of underage illegal alien kiddie hookers, oh, and hiding the bodies after killing people who get in your way.

Do you think that is a stretch?  I don't.  It sure sounds to me like she confessed to premeditated murder of her husband after framing him with false claims of domestic violence.  I mean, sure, you can interpret that conversation however you want to... but that is MY interpretation.

And the scary thing is... the film makers have hinted that even bigger bombs are dropping soon!

Don't know what I'm talking about?  Well, if you don't watch FOX News, listen to conservative talk radio, or read conservative websites, you haven't heard about any of this.

And what is ACORN doing now?  Why, changing its name, of course!  Yes, it will now be "Community Organizations International."  Well, either way, it is still a COMMunity organization IntErnational group of America-hating leftist criminal thugs.

And NBC?  ABC?  CBS?  New York Times?

THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING!  Will ANY of these "news" sources take notice?  Will any of them follow up on ACORN as it tries to hide under new names?

This is an organization that created Barack Obama, and which - as far as all objective evidence suggests - is writing our legislation and setting our policies.  It is an organization that has already received tens of millions of OUR DOLLARS and which could potentially receive BILLIONS of "stimulus" dollars.

And every indication is: corrupt, criminal, dangerous.

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?!?!?!?!

Will anyone in the federal government take action?

What about here in Oregon?

Does ACORN receive any Oregon taxpayer dollars?

Has anyone in government bothered to ask?

Did ACORN have anything to do with any of the big bills passed this session?

Why isn't there a RICO investigation underway?

IS ANYONE ELSE EVEN ASKING THESE QUESTIONS?

The complete and total blackout of all of this in our traditional news media is frightening.  This is the sort of media compliance with a corrupt administration I would expect out of the old Soviet Union or NAZI Germany.

Yes, I went there.  What else am I supposed to do at this point?

Cash for clunkers? Here's what's wrong with the theory...

The whole problem is that the program is list-based and not actual-performance-based.  It doesn't differentiate between two cars of the same year, make and model when one is in pristine condition running like new and the other has been poorly maintained with a resulting loss of performance.
 
My 1994 Camry 4 cylinder is not on the list.  But a 1994 Camry 6 cylinder is, presumably because it "should" get worse mileage.  However, my Camry is in dire need of a tune up, idles roughly, leaks exhaust, and definitely gets worse mileage than a 6 cylinder in good working condition.  I haven't sunk money into maintaining it because the car isn't worth very much.  The trade-in value is next to nothing, so I'm not interested in selling or upgrading.  With gas prices far below their highs of the last few summers, there is no incentive for me to spend money to repair or replace my vehicle.
 
With an extra $4,500 specifically allocated to my transportation needs, I would surely either bring the car back to optimum performance or trade it in on a new hybrid - more likely the former, because even with a good deal, I just don't want a new car payment.  But I'm not going to get any help, whereas someone with a car in better condition and better fuel efficiency will.  And who has these cars?  People with more disposable income, who originally bought the more expensive 6 cylinders and spent more money over the years keeping them in good shape!
 
And now, with a program like this, the government wants me to trust them on administering health care logically and efficiently?

Why?

Because some folks from GM and some folks from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and some folks from Motortrend thought it would be cool.

Now, don't get me wrong.  This IS COOL.  And very MANLY.  And, ordinarily, I would totally approve of a publicity stunt like this.  Except we are in a budget crisis - and a multi-front war - so reckless spending of military dollars is probably not the smartest thing.

But I have to wonder: why did THIS stunt get approved (and funded) when other PR events for military flyers were nixed?  OK, sure, you can say that one was nixed because it was too Christian.  But that isn't the point I am making.  My point is, why, when other military stunts are turned down, did this one get the green light?  I have a theory:

The government now has a vested stake in GM.  Forget "General" Motors.  The company is now GOVERNMENT Motors.  And this publicity stunt could help boost sales of a GM product.  And now our military is being used as shills for Obama's new car company.

What's the problem?  Well, when it comes to the Blue Angels, there is more at stake than money.  Did you know that since the squadron was formed in 1949, there have been only 262 total pilots to serve in it?  And did you know that, due to the extreme danger of the complex stunt flying, there have been 26 fatalities in the squadron?

That's a 10 percent mortality rate, for peaceful duty.  You see, these guys (and gals!) have a damn tough job: demonstrate the finest flying in the world on a daily basis, for the sole purpose of demonstrating the skills and professionalism of U.S. Naval aviators.  They are killing themselves to show the world how good we are.

Now, to me, that is pretty sacred.  It ain't something to be abused to help a few sleazy car dealers draw in a few more folks from the testosterone crowd.

That said, from the text of the article, it does at least sound like the Blue Angels had a lot of fun doing it - and I admit, as a sports car junkie, I would have, too.  Hell, I would have volunteered my services.  So maybe there is nothing to make of this story, other than what is presented in the magazine: good people having a great time while making the most of two impressive pieces of transportation hardware.  But I can't help feel this whole thing is tainted by the GM government bailout and the administration's bad track record so far with military aircraft.

Why not just, like, take some photos of it, you know, next time he does?

You know, rather than spend half a million dollars on jet fuel, keep all those military personnel from other duties, cause panic in the streets, etc.?

What happened to the Annointed One's promises to bring the troops home, to end the war in Iraq, and to bring hope of change from the Bush administration's failed military policies?

Instead, we have more Oregon National Guard members deploying to Iraq.

This was e-mailed to me by a retired Navy pilot:

Barack Obama ran an ad claiming John McCain can't use a computer.

OK.  Barack Obama can't land a fighter jet on a carrier in a storm at night.

And to be fair... McCain choses not to use a computer because his war injuries make it too painful to use a mouse and keyboard.  What is Obama's excuse?

The Obamessiah and his Senior Flunky have committed two of the biggest gaffes they could possibly commit.  Same day.  Different gaffes.  They are soooooo screwed now.

First, Obama lets slip the "big one" on gun control.  He just admitted he wouldn't "have the votes" in Congress to take away guns.  That means he has already been vote counting.  You do NOT poll your Congressional delegation on something that can bite you on the ass like this unless you are SERIOUSLY planning to move forward with legislation.  Back in 1994, the NRA mobilzed the pro-gun crowd in response to the assault weapons ban.  The result started with "Speaker" and ended with "Gingrich."  Now the democrat ticket has two F-rated candidates, and the Republicans have a war hero and a life-member caribou hunter ticket.  And the Heller decision, with many huge gun-rights questions left unanswered, has the pro-gun movement ready for action.  Do the math.

But the gun issue isn't why the forecast down below is calling for extra sweaters.  No, the BIG gaffe comes from Joe Biden, who just admitted it is a matter of his faith that LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION.

I'll pause a moment while you pick yourself up from the ground.

Yes, he believes life begins at conception.  He is also still pro-choice.  So, in a nutshell, he is ok with what can then only be logically described as infanticide.  He would be better off, politicly, either becoming pro-life, or sticking with some sort of "three month" rule.  Because now he is on record as a baby killer.  The radical feminazi abortion-as-the-holy-sacrament crowd will now throw Biden under the bus.  They may as well support Sarah Palin, who at least is a woman and at least is able to reconcile her beliefs on abortion and metaphysics.

There will be no place on the democrat ticket for Biden now.  He is dead to the radical left at this point.  He needs to back down and let Barack put Hillary on the ticket.

It's funny... a few days ago, the left were the ones saying McCain and Palin had to pull an Eagleton.  Now, that's the only choice left for Barack Hussein Osama bin-Biden.  The democrats are totally screwed.  Polling coming out tomorrow will show McCain up by 10 points over Obama, and that's BEFORE tonights debacles.  They are going to lose BIG TIME.  The only question is: how bad will it be?  If they can dump Biden and put Hillary on the ticket, they will still lose (no way Obama can recover from a blow like losing his own VP pick), but at least they might retain Congress.  If Biden stays on the ballot, we might be looking at a new Speaker of the House come January.
